Our tutors help to achieve great results and are able to provide an intensive catch-up programme to pupils most in need, allowing teachers to focus on their classrooms. They engage with students, building a rapport and offer support which evolves to suit the needs of the child
We are now looking for a Qualified Maths Tutor with experience in working with key stage 3/4/5 to join a fantastic Kent based grammar school to tutor pupils on site from Monday to Thursday 1330 to 1630
Salary: up to £30 per hour
The Person
A qualified Maths Teacher or NQT who can inject passion, charisma and life into a group of students. Qualifications are important, but we also want someone reliable and trustworthy who can commit to regular, weekly lessons.
Do you have the following?
- Studied GCSE Maths and a relevant degree
- Enhanced DBS (CRB) Checked (we could help obtain this – you will be expected to pay for this or we can deduct from your pay)
- Experience of teaching GCSE Maths (useful, but not essential)
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Maths
- A sociable and outgoing personality
- You must be passionate about education and helping children in their academic development
- Be a flexible and confident individual who has a creative approach to teaching
- Ability to communicate clearly & effectively
- Commitment to improving the life-chances of young people
- Punctual and well organised
- Ability to encourage children to overcome challenges – celebrating when they have a go and recognising their efforts
