Overview
Our school is an 11 -18 comprehensive school based on the North West coast of Cumbria. They are looking to appoint a Teacher of Geography to teach KS3, 4 and 5. If you have the teaching qualities required, along with the passion and aspirations to contribute to the success of the school, then we would welcome an application from you.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Delivery of KS3, 4 and 5 level geography to mixed ability classes of around 30 students
- Work alongside the head of year to create a stimulating and engaging curriculum
- Formative and summative assessment with bespoke planning to challenge and enthuse every learner
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL BE:
- Qualified to degree level or more in Geography
- Qualified by PGCE,
- Experienced in KS3, KS4 and KS5
- Excellent role models in teaching and learning
- Ability to plan, maintain and develop outstanding teaching and learning
- A high level of ICT skills and experience of using these in the classroom to enhance learning
- A commitment to all students receiving and outstanding education experience
- The awareness of the need to monitor and support the progress of all students, with timely interventions, is vital
