Supreme Recruitment are currently recruiting for a vehicle/plant technician for a well-established client based in Hounslow.
Job Role:
- Undertake repairs and servicing of all mechanical or hand operated plant and when required all fleet and customer vehicles.
- Need to make sure that all plant, vehicles and equipment meets Health and Safety legislation and complies with all DVSA current legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support to the Workshop Supervisors, ensuring that all repairs, maintenance and servicing of all sweepers, highway equipment.
- To carry out safety inspections to both Scarab and Johnson Sweepers and other vehicles in line with DVSA MOT standards.
- Inspect plant and equipment for operation and safety and report orally and/or in writing uponthe completion of Safety Inspection Sheets.
- To fully complete and submit daily timesheets to the Workshop Supervisor in a clear, legible and accurate manner and ensure statuary records, job cards and any other documentation are accurately completed for all inspections, servicing and vehicle maintenance operations.
Skills and Abilities:
- High-level communication skills.
- Able to work to manufacturers and to I.C.M.E service and repair times and quality standards.
- To read and understand engineering drawings and manufacturers specifications.
Essential Qualifications:
- City and Guilds parts 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Motor Vehicle craft Studies.
- DVSA Nominate MOT tester Class’s 4, 5 and 7.
- LGV C (min) or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Hold B and C1 (min) Driving License obtain IRTEC qualification.
