Supreme Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager for one of our clients.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone that wants to work at a local nursery with a great team.

The post holders’ main responsibilities will be;

To work in partnership with the Nursery Manager and Nursery staff to provide a dynamic, active learning environment for the children on a day-to-day basis.

To ensure overall compliance of the Nursery to appropriate Legislation, Regulations, OFSTED Guidelines and the EYFS. To ensure compliance with appropriate Health & Safety, C.O.S.H.H., Fire, and Fair Employment / Equal Opportunities Legislation.

To amend policies and procedures, or to produce new documents as may be required through changes or up-dates in such Legislation / Regulations / Guidelines

To establish and foster positive influential relationships with all staff and other External agencies dealing with Early Years.

To implement and monitor that all paperwork in the rooms and office are up to date and accurate (e.g. meeting minutes, joint observations, action plans, children’s folders)

To establish positive and sympathetic relationships by working in partnership with the children’s parents /carers. Implement and manage an effective parent liaison programme, ensuring regular communication and interaction with parents including, producing newsletter, monitoring the settling in process of all new children/room transitions. 

Together with the manager, be responsible for recruitment, training and retention of staff; ensure appointed staff are qualified/have the skills required to work in the nursery, references and DBS clearances are obtained and contracts issued; ensure staff are inducted within a reasonable timescale
